A Mid Day Beer with Novak!

Poor Novak, she broke her pinky horribly and needed surgery and pins! Needless to say when I picked her up for lunch, she was pretty drugged up! haha! So we headed over to Fireworks for some lunch and I had a beer!

I ordered the Brugse Zot by the Brouwerij Straffe Hendrik/ De Halve Maan of Bruges, Belgium at 6% abv.

I feel like its been a while since I’ve ordered the Brugse Zot. I feel like for a while, I drifted away from Belgians and began to drink more porters and stouts. But I always forget just how wonderful they are! I need to go back and heavily re-visit this beer style.

Pours a beautiful deep golden hue. Earthy Belgian yeast, light citrusy, creamy but with moderate, lively carbonation. It’s a really good Belgian Pale Ale.

It would be super nice to visit this brewery! wink wink!
