Leaving Vienna, arriving in Budapest

We took the morning train to Budapest, it took about three hours. It also took way longer than usual to meet up with our air bnb host and find the apartment.

Right after we left our apartment, we were walking down a small side street to get back to their car and someone above us threw a bucket of water (we hope it was water, we didn’t smell like piss)  out of the window, right on top of us!! We were horrified. Kaitlyn’s friends were horrified. What is this?!? The middle ages?!?

The best part of today though was that we met up with two friends of Kaitlyn and Kristof’s. They were amazing and picked us up from the train station and drove us to where we needed to be and had a restaurant lined up for us for lunch.
There was a lot of catching up and drinking to do. Traditional Hungarian ice creams and then we got a few beers outside and watched the handball championship. It was interesting guessing the rules.
Anyway, hardly any pictures today.

My first Hungarian beer.

More exciting things tomorrow.
