I arrived around noon, got checked in and immediately headed back out. Everyone was super friendly and kept giving me suggestions on what to see.
First, I got lunch. But then I went back to change into boots and grab my rain coat.
I started off by walking through the park and saw Bastion hill.
I walked a bit further and went to the Art Nouveau Museum.
Stunning. I loved this place!!! I wish we still had this casual elegance in daily life.
Then I saw the largest eastern orthodox church in the Baltic provinces.
Sorry, no pictures allowed inside.
Then on to the Radisson. Yep, their Sky bar was worth a stop! Twenty six stories up and with a phenomenal view of old town.
More buildings and sights from old town.
And finally I ended up in Folkklubs ALA Pagrabs.
Amazing Latvian craft beer! I’m so pleased with Riga so far!
